Who we are
Longmead Projects is a trading name of Longmead Securities Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08409582). Our registered office is Britannia Court, 5 Moor Street, Worcester, WR1 3DB.
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, or want to make a request about your information, email dom [at] longmeadprojects.co.uk.
The information we collect
- When you use our enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, your message, and confirmation that you have read this policy. When you send the form, our form provider also records your IP address, an approximate location worked out from it, your browser details and the page you sent the form from. Our spam-protection provider receives your IP address, browser type and the address of the page, so it can check that you are not an automated bot.
- When you email us: your email address and anything you include in your message.
- When you visit the website: our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the website can be delivered and kept secure.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your commercial property plans. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries or, where you are asking about working with us, because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
- To run the website and keep it secure, including protecting the enquiry form from spam and filtering out abuse. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website.
We do not use your information for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not make automated decisions about you. Ticking the box on our enquiry form confirms that you have read this policy; we do not rely on it as consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who handle information on our behalf and may only use it to provide their service to us:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website. Netlify is based in the United States.
- Formspark (Trampoline Software SRL, Belgium) receives enquiry form submissions, stores them for us and forwards them to us by email. It stores submissions in the European Economic Area, in Ireland and Germany, and uses Amazon Web Services in Ireland to host its service and send email. It also uses a small number of other providers for functions such as spam scoring and error reporting, some of which are in the United States.
- Botpoison (also operated by Trampoline Software SRL, Belgium) provides spam protection for our enquiry form. It only runs when you send the form, checks that the request comes from a person and not an automated bot, and processes your IP address, browser type and the address of the page. It stores information in Ireland and saves a short-lived token in your browser’s session storage, which your browser removes when you close the tab. Botpoison also uses other providers, such as Amazon Web Services, for its infrastructure.
- Microsoft provides our email service through Microsoft 365.
We may also share information where the law requires us to. We do not share it with anyone else without your agreement.
International transfers
Formspark and Botpoison are based in Belgium and store information in Ireland, within the European Economic Area, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection. Some of our providers, including Netlify, and some of the providers that Formspark and Botpoison use, are based in, or may process information in, countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries, including form submissions and related emails, for 12 months from our last contact with you, and then delete them, unless your enquiry leads to ongoing business (see below). Formspark keeps submissions until we delete them, so we delete them from Formspark ourselves. Formspark can recover a deleted submission for 30 days before it is permanently removed.
Formspark keeps the IP address, approximate location and filtered spam submissions it records for up to 12 months. Botpoison’s browser token is removed when you close the tab. Botpoison does not publish a retention period for its other records.
If your enquiry leads to us working together, we keep the relevant information for as long as that relationship lasts and as long as we need it afterwards for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- object to us using your information
- ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation
To make a request, email dom [at] longmeadprojects.co.uk. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
